Dr. Danfrekua Dickson
Erica Danfrekua Dickson is the Immediate Past President and ex-officio member representing on GPA-NEC. She is a Physician Clinical Psychologist heading the Therapy and Wellness Department of the 37 Military Hospital, Accra.
She holds a a PhD and MPhil in Clinical Psychology from the University of Ghana, a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery and BSc in Human Biology from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. She has worked with vulnerable groups such as victims of trafficking, domestic abuse, refugees, survivors of conflict among others both in Ghana and internationally. She is an advocate for gender issues, trauma and gender-sensitive in her care approach. Her research interests are in health related issues.
She is a Member of the PsychSolutions Team that
represented GPA in the American Psychological Associations’ premier International
Contest in which Ghana was a finalist.
