Call for Abstracts: 8th Biennial International Research Practitioner Conference 2026
8TH BIENNIAL INTERNATIONAL RESEARCH PRACTITIONER CONFERENCE The Ghana Psychological Association (GPA) is pleased to announce the Call for Abstracts for its 8th Biennial International Research Practitioner Conference (IRPC 2026), a premier gathering of psychologists, researchers, practitioners, educators, students, policymakers, and allied professionals from across Africa and beyond. This year's conference is particularly significant as the GPA will be privileged to host the leadership of the American Psychological Association (APA) during the conference, pre-conference activities, and the Association's Annual General Meeting. The APA delegation will include members of the APA Board of Directors, comprising elected officers and representatives who provide strategic leadership for the world's largest scientific and professional organization representing psychology. Their participation underscores the growing importance of global partnerships in advancing psychological science, education, and practice. Under the theme, "Re-Imagining Psychology: Training, Research, Practice in Africa,". The conference seeks to stimulate critical conversations on the future of psychology in Africa, foster international collaboration, showcase innovative research, and promote culturally relevant approaches to addressing contemporary societal challenges. The conference will provide a dynamic platform for sharing evidence-based research, professional experiences, policy innovations, and emerging perspectives that contribute to the advancement of psychology and mental health across the continent.
